Dynamic Full Contact Club is the only facility in Douglas County that teaches Mixed Martial Arts for kids.

What physical and mental strengths will my child develop from being involved in our martial arts programs?

The first step to learning Dynamic MMA Pankration is educating students about the discipline and etiquette of the traditional dojo. Students learn that martial arts should only be used in Self-defense or in a sanctioned martial arts contest. They learn how to use their smarts before their physical skills to avoid physical conflict outside of the dojo, such as with bullies at school. During practice, they naturally develop a sense of self esteem that helps them project a more confident self. This, in it's self a bully deterrent. Pankration students learn self control that also helps prevent them from becoming bullies themselves.

The next step is to learn safety in mixed martial arts. They will learn proper falling techniques, so they can safely practice takedowns and defense. They learn about tapping out, to prevent injuries during practice of submissions.

The Dynamic MMA Pankration system is based on 3 phases of combat. These phases can be applied in contest or self-defense.

Free movement-In the first phase, students learn proper stance, footwork, strikes, kicks, and blocks of Muay Thai, Karate, and Boxing. They will also learn how to level change and shoot in for takedowns and sprawl to defend takedowns.

Clinch - Throw-In the second phase, students learn various ways to clinch, control, and throw their opponent in cqc (close quarters combat). Skills from Muay Thai, Judo, Sambo, and Wrestling are employed to develop skill in clinching with an opponent, getting them off balance and taking them to the ground without ever losing control of them.

Grappling-The third phase is all about ground control. Students learn how to follow up the takedown to maintain control of an opponent. They follow that with practice various pinning techniques from Judo, Sambo, and wrestling. Lastly, they learn submission holds of every possible angle from a variety of grappling style martial arts. They will also learn to defend against strikes on the while on the ground and how to safely get back to their feet.

All the while, students are also learning about good manners, culture, and language as they practice Japanese, Russian, and English terminology and martial arts customs. Young minds are very absorbent and it is the perfect time to introduce them to other languages. In the Dynamic MMA dojo, they will learn many Japanese and Russian words, as well as how to count.

Our Kids' Pankration MMA program includes games and fun activities that keep things interesting for the children while they continue to learn the physical and mental skills of the martial art. Also, remember that your child's safety is our number one priority. All techniques are practiced under the close and careful supervision of our highly qualified instructors.

Children have so much to gain from being involved in our Mixed Martial Arts program.

1. The confidence to stay clear of drugs and other negative influences.
2. They will gain the life skills of patience, respect, and perseverance.
3. Improved concentration and self-discipline to improve their grades.(statistics show that kids enrolled in martial arts have better grades in school)
4. The motivation to become the leader of their peers rather than the follower.
5. A friendly environment that is safe, enjoyable and educational to promote a positive outlook on life.
6. New friendships and common interests with other students.
7. Not to mention the ability to defend one's self if the need were to arise.

If your child doesn't seem to enjoy team sports such as football, soccer, or baseball, you really should give your child a chance to try something else by enrolling him/her in our either our Kids' MMA or Kids' Judo programs. While in the dojo, kids do learn and participate as a team, but are also recognized for their individual achievements.

Judo and other martial arts training have proven beneficial for children with A.D.H.D. While other sports such as football have too many things going on at once and baseball has too long of lag time between plays, martial arts offers a variety of systematic activities that work well with young, active minds.

Help us spread the word. E-mail this site to your friends. Tell others that Mixed Martial Arts and Kodokan Judo is available in this area for kids age 5 through 12.
