We have beginning through advanced classes for men, women, teenagers and kids 5 through 12.

Mixed Martial Arts and submission grappling are the fastest growing sports in the world and DFCC is Douglas County's most experienced Mixed Martial Arts training center. Whatever your martial arts goals, our highly qualified staff will be there to help you succeed.

Please read about our current classes and watch for new ones, as we continue to develop and grow our facility.

The best way to learn more about who we are and what we do, is to simply pay us a visit.

Top 5 reasons you owe it to yourself to join DFCC.

1. Quality Instruction. Larry Keith is the DFCC founder and Sensei. He has been practicing martial arts since 1982 and has been teaching MMA since 1994. Keith Sensei served as Kodokan Judo assistant instructor at Umpqua Community College from 1997 to 2002. He also teaches internationally, returning to Russia annually for seminars and competitions. Keith Sensei served on the referee board of advisors and coached the Republic of Sakha Judo team at the 3rd International Games of Asia.

Olga Keith has been practicing Kodokan Judo and Mixed Martial Arts since 2000. Olga has been assitant instructor at DFCC since 2002. She was a Judo gold medalist in the 2003 State Games of Oregon. In 2004 she also served on the referee advisor board and helped coach the Republic of Sakha Judo team in the 3rd International Games of Asia, held in Yakutsk, Russia.

Alexenko Sensei has been practicing Judo since 1965. He taught Kodokan Judo at Umpqua Community College for over 20 years. He retired from UCC in 1997. After taking a few years off, Alexenko Sensei returned to teaching at DFCC for our kids' Judo program in 2005.

2. Lineage. As it becomes harder to find, it is becoming more common for people to claim that lineage is not important to them. We, however, take great pride in our Kodokan Judo lineage. Although it is not the most important factor in learning a martial art, it is an important factor for those interested in learning a martial art in its most pure form.

Kazuzo Kudo was the author of what we consider the finest books on Judo, the two volume set, entitled "DYNAMIC JUDO". Kazuzo Kudo was in fact, the last surviving direct student of Jigoro Kano, the founder of Kodokan Judo. Yuzo Kato was a student of Kazuzo Kudo as well as Kyuzo Mifune (author of Canon of Judo and last surviving 10th degree black belt) at the Kodokan in Tokyo, Japan. Keith Sensei, Alexenko Sensei and Olga Keith are all direct students of Yuzo Kato. It was in respect of this lineage that we named our dojo, "Dynamic Full Contact Club".

3. Teamwork. The DFCC Pankration, Judo, Sambo, and Submission wrestling team members make sure that everyone is progressing and no one is left behind. If one particular athlete has an upcoming event, all other DFCC members do their part to make sure that athlete is well prepared.

We also use a mentoring system which allows the advanced members to help guide the novice members through the fundamentals of Judo, Sub-wrestling, and MMA. There are many other members of the DFCC dojo that are highly qualified martial artists. We have members that are highly skilled in Shotokan Karate, Kung Fu, Wrestling, Boxing and even Yoga. All of these members share their knowledge in order to make everyone in our facility better Mixed Martial Artists. By teaching, the advanced members learn more details about the techniques they themselves are practicing.

4. Great Attitudes. There are no over-inflated egos to deal with. All of the members are there to help one another succeed as martial artists. Everyone works hard but takes time to enjoy what they are learning. You are always going to see smiling faces in the DFCC dojo. Everyone is happy to be there and enjoy the training, camaraderie, and general atmosphere.

5. Variety of Programs. Dynamic Full Contact Club offers instruction in Kodokan Judo, Russian Sambo, Thai Boxing, Pankration MMA, Submission Wrestling, and Dynamic Strength Training. Classes are available for Children age 5 through 12, juniors 13 through 17, and adults.

These are only five reasons why you owe it to yourself to come visit us and try out what we have to offer. We are certain that once you visit us, you will think of your own reasons why you should become part of the DFCC family of martial artists.

Please contact us for program schedules and prices. We invite everyone to stop by and try out a class or two.
